Well it looks like festive season has begun coz I see lights, Rangoli colors and Diyas at every Shopping Mart and on some balconies in Dubai.  With the advent of Navratri, it’s just fun and frolic all around. Starting with Garba, Navratri fasts, Ashtami , Ram Navami followed by Dussehra , Karwa Chauth and finally Diwali. The month of October goes away in merry making and enjoying the festivities.

Though I think Diwali is enjoyed and celebrated with much more pomp and show in India, for that matter any Indian Festival, but to celebrate it away from our Motherland is a unique experience in its own. It feels great when through these festivals we all Indians create a mini India on this land. The fun in lighting up and decorating your house, the fun in helping mom prepare Diwali sweets, the fun in cleaning your home and your room for Diwali, the fun in shopping like crazy with bag full of goodies, the fun in performing the Pooja, the fun in going to each other houses to wish Diwali, the fun in deciding what clothes to get stitched and what to wear, the fun in having a wholesome family time and lots more.

I strongly feel this is the time to let bygones be bygones and starts afresh in every phase of life.

While Dussehra is all about good winning over evil, Diwali is all about brightness, glee, love and laughter so spread the joy around and you will see how happiness never ceases to follow you!
